SYSA season starts soon. First games April 8

March 9, 2023 — The Siuslaw Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) season starts soon with first games April 8. Teams are forming soon but the league still needs a few more coaches, specifically for their U8 teams.

“If you are a parent, guardian, grandparent, or know a friend that is interested in coaching in this age group please reach out,” said the SYSA in an email. “This season we will have extra assistance for games every week. We will have a referee at every U8 game to help coaches be more successful and better understand the rules, we are here to help.”

Those that are interested should call or text Nyra Campbell at 541-999-9237.

The SYSA offers youth soccer for kids kindergarten through eighth grade. The deadline for player registration was March 4 but registration is still open until March 11, with late fee.

The mission of SYSA, a nonprofit organization, is to develop a soccer program which is dedicated to providing the youth of our community with the opportunity to learn the game of soccer. We strive to provide a safe, healthy program which fosters building character and developing life skills while offering competitive opportunities for players at every level and is fun and rewarding for all.
